Robert Pattinson Tested For James Bond

Warner Bros. Pictures

Robert Pattinson has been revealed as one of the two mystery actors who recently screen tested for the role of James Bond, while the other is also a very familiar face.

The news comes via THR who, earlier this afternoon, teased that not one but two mystery actors screen tested for the role alongside the already known Jack Lowden, Callum Turner and Josh O’Connor.

The outlet says that according to multiple sources, 40-year-old Pattinson screen tested on that week – taking a break from the set of filming “The Batman: Part II” to do it.

Pattinson certainly has an ‘in’ as he recently worked with Villeneuve on “Dune: Part Three” and the collaboration is “said to have gone well for the two men”.

In addition, the trade says Nicholas Hoult’s name is surfacing as the other mystery man – though they don’t seem as sure on that as they are on Pattinson. 36-year-old Hoult was a runner-up to Pattinson for the Batman role years ago.

In addition, Variety is now reporting that Harry Styles has “had discussions about the part” and 41-year-old Theo James also “hasn’t been ruled out”.

Other previously rumored names include Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Nicholas Galitzine, Tom Holland, Jonathan Bailey, Dev Patel and Taron Egerton.
